Package Exports

@stefanprobst/diacritics

This package does not declare an exports field, so the exports above have been automatically detected and optimized by JSPM instead. If any package subpath is missing, it is recommended to post an issue to the original package (@stefanprobst/diacritics) to support the "exports" field. If that is not possible, create a JSPM override to customize the exports field for this package.

Remove diacritics from strings.

Useful when implementing some kind of search or filter functionality.

Installation

yarn add @stefanprobst/diacritics

Umlaut handling

This fork treats Ä, ä, Ö, ö, Ü, ü as German umlaut characters, which are transformed to Ae, ae, Oe, oe, Ue, ue. This differs from upstream behavior! The motivation for this change was to adjust how netlifycms creates slugs using this package.
