ramliteDB

NoSQL Database for node.js with all data loaded in ram and backup in json file.

Principles

  • ramliteDB doesn't need huge configurations or anything else. You won't have to setup a DB server.
  • ramliteDB is intended for small projects
  • The backup process of ramliteDB is detached from the writing process (for more efficiency). But this mean that if your application crash, some of the data may have not been saved in file.

Why would you use it ?

  • No configuration
  • No server
  • Fast (ram)
  • (REALLY) Easy to learn

Set a value

  • param {str/array} key Key Path to the data (dot separated)
  • param {mixed} value The value to record
  • return {bool} is that a success ?

ramliteDB.get(key)

Get a value

  • param {str/array} key Path to the data (dot separated)
  • return {mixed} null/data

ramlite.index(path, by)

Create an index. It's needed to make "getby" researchs. (researchs will be in O(1) complexity)

  • {str/array} key Key Path to the data to index (dot separated)
  • {str} by name of the propety to index
  • return {bool} is that a success ?

ramlite.getBy(path, by, value)

Get every objects located at key, having 'by' set to 'value'

  • {str/array} key Key Path to the indexed data (dot separated)
  • {str} by name of the propety to index
  • {str} value value of the propety
  • return {mixed} null/data

ramliteDB.destroy()

Free all ressources (! this is asynchrone !)

ramliteDB.on(event, callback)

Attach an action to a specific event (load, backup, unload)

  • param {str} event Event Name
  • param {Function} callback Action to attach
