Convert a vtt file to a text file with alterating speakers

Package Exports

This package does not declare an exports field, so the exports above have been automatically detected and optimized by JSPM instead. If any package subpath is missing, it is recommended to post an issue to the original package (@incharge/vtt-to-script) to support the "exports" field. If that is not possible, create a JSPM override to customize the exports field for this package.

vtt-to-script

What this program does

Convert a WebVTT file to a more easily readable text format.

  • Remove the WEBVTT token at the start of the file
  • Remove empty lines
  • Remove line numbers
  • Round timestamps down to whole seconds
  • Group together text from the same speaker

Usage

The program reads from the standard input and writes to the standard output.

'node' index.mjs < input.vtt > output.txt
