Package Exports
- @opentelemetry/instrumentation-redis
This package does not declare an exports field, so the exports above have been automatically detected and optimized by JSPM instead. If any package subpath is missing, it is recommended to post an issue to the original package (@opentelemetry/instrumentation-redis) to support the "exports" field. If that is not possible, create a JSPM override to customize the exports field for this package.

OpenTelemetry redis Instrumentation for Node.js
This module provides automatic instrumentation for redis@^2.6.0
.
For automatic instrumentation see the @opentelemetry/node package.
Installation
npm install --save @opentelemetry/instrumentation-redis
Supported Versions
>=2.6.0
Usage
OpenTelemetry Redis Instrumentation allows the user to automatically collect trace data and export them to the backend of choice, to give observability to distributed systems when working with redis.
To load a specific instrumentation (redis in this case), specify it in the registerInstrumentations' configuration
const { NodeTracerProvider } = require('@opentelemetry/node');
const { RedisInstrumentation } = require('@opentelemetry/instrumentation-redis');
const { registerInstrumentations } = require('@opentelemetry/instrumentation');
const provider = new NodeTracerProvider();
provider.register();
registerInstrumentations({
instrumentations: [
new RedisInstrumentation(),
],
})
See examples/redis for a short example.
