Cypress MetaMask

Interacting with you MetaMask made "easy". (Depending on how you define "easy" of course...)

This plugin is based on the solutions brought by Jakub Mucha - drptbl in Synpress, but with a more stripped down and (this is opinionated) simpler approach. The goal is to build a fairly straight forward solution that you can integrate into your own testing (end-to-end) flow.

Setup

Install the package using yarn or npm:

$ yarn add -D cypress-metamask
// or 
$ npm i -D cypress-metamask

Import the plugin in cypress/support/index.js

// Import commands.js using ES2015 syntax:
import './commands'
import 'cypress-metamask'

Modify your cypress/plugins/index.js to include the plugin:

module.exports = (on, config) => {
  require('cypress-metamask/plugins')(on)
}

Add an .env file to your project root:

You should be ready to go.

Example

There is a small html/javascript that requires you to run a local chain to work. Once you have configured your setup and if you spin up a local chain, start a server and run your tests, you should be able to have the test pass.
