Find JAVA_HOME on any system

Package Exports

  • find-java-home

This package does not declare an exports field, so the exports above have been automatically detected and optimized by JSPM instead. If any package subpath is missing, it is recommended to post an issue to the original package (find-java-home) to support the "exports" field. If that is not possible, create a JSPM override to customize the exports field for this package.

#node-find-java-home

Returns the location of JAVA_HOME as an absolute path on windows, mac, and linux. It runs asynchronously.

##Algorithm

  1. Use JAVA_HOME if it's set.
  2. Find javac in PATH

If javac is found in PATH: 3. Handle symlink of javac if found in path. 4. Check for java_home next to javac (mac has this)

If java_home is found(mac): 5. Use the result of java_home

  1. User the parent directory.

##Example

require('./')(function(err, home){
  if(err)return console.log(err);
  console.log(home);
});
